SEOUL, Korea, August 26, 2026 — RVS Lab, a developer of radar signal processing software for autonomous driving, has signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with CHUHANG Technology GmbH to co-develop next-generation radar sensors for Level 3 and higher autonomy. The agreement was signed at the Autonomous Mobility Expo (AME 2026), held August 25–27 at COEX in Seoul.

The agreement follows a comprehensive cooperation Memorandum of Agreement the two companies concluded in November 2025 to explore business and technical cooperation. Over the months that followed, RVS Lab conducted a series of tests using CHUHANG’s radar hardware. Those results led both sides to a shared conclusion: advancing Level 3+ autonomy would require a radar system designed from the ground up, rather than incremental improvements to existing platforms. The JDA formalizes that direction.
Under the agreement, CHUHANG’s radar hardware platform will be combined with RVS Lab’s signal processing and perception software. RVS Lab’s proprietary PNTA algorithm is expected to improve target detection precision, including the detection of pedestrians and small moving objects such as pets. A first prototype of the jointly developed radar is expected around March 2027.
CHUHANG Technology GmbH is a Germany-based company that develops and manufactures 4D imaging radar for autonomous driving. For RVS Lab, the partnership opens a path into the Chinese and European automotive radar markets.
At AME 2026, RVS Lab also exhibited its software products, including RadarSoft® PNTA, a radar performance enhancement algorithm, and RadarSoft® SLAM, which builds maps from radar data. The company shared its development roadmap for extending radar signal processing technology from automotive autonomy into autonomous drone flight. Chul Nyuon Kim, Director of the RVS Lab R&D Center, presented at the conference program on how radar can become a primary sensor for autonomous driving.
